NicoBloc USA Names Dr. Gregory Jantz Chief Clinical Officer
Wilton, CT – (October 27, 2015) – Bloc Enterprises, the exclusive distributor of NicoBloc, a simple, drug-free approach to quitting smoking, has named noted mental health and addiction expert Dr. Gregory Jantz as Chief Clinical Officer.
As Chief Clinical Officer, Dr. Jantz will provide clinical guidance, be available to speak to the media on behalf of NicoBloc and utilize NicoBloc as part of an overall care and wellness plan for patients who are also addicted to smoking, while in admission at his renowned addiction treatment facility outside Seattle.
Dr. Jantz is a best-selling author, speaker and recognized expert in the treatment of addiction, depression and eating disorders. He founded The Center – A Place of Hope, a 40-bed treatment facility in Edmonds, Wash. more than 30 years ago. Jantz holds a Ph.D. in Counseling and Health psychology and is a Certified Addiction Counselor.
“We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Jantz into the NicoBloc USA family as Chief Clinical Officer,” said Kent Atherton, founder and CEO of Bloc Enterprises. “His expertise in recognizing and treating addictions will be invaluable to us in our efforts to reach all smokers who have been unable to quit and provide them with this innovative solution.”
In successful field studies and market testing overseas, NicoBloc has proven to be one of the best-ever methods by helping people quit smoking using a gradual reduction method, which helps eliminate nicotine addiction without drugs or the need to go ‘cold turkey.’
“When people have multiple addictions, smoking is usually the last to go,” said Jantz. “Generally, given the opportunity, people do want to quit smoking but they don’t believe they can or don’t know how.”
NicoBloc fluid is made from natural, food-grade ingredients and applied directly to the cigarette filter. This process helps block tar and nicotine from entering the body without a change in taste or loss of satisfaction.
NicoBloc was developed in Ireland and will be made in the USA. It was initially used in corporate wellness (stop smoking) programs in the United Kingdom. The program achieved such unprecedented quit rates (50%+) among its participants, the inventors were inspired to make NicoBloc available as a consumer product to smokers worldwide.
NicoBloc provides a gradual tapering of the amount of nicotine consumed by the body. Just one drop of the product removes approximately 33% of the hazardous ingredients and starts the weaning process.
In the second week, two drops are used on each cigarette, which reduces the tar and nicotine by approximately 66 percent. By week three and onwards, three drops can be used to block up to 99 percent and this gradual approach allows taste buds to get accustomed to the gentle change and lessen the body’s habitual nicotine dependency.
“People can and do stop smoking cigarettes, but sometimes they just need the right method and approach that can free them from both the physical and emotional aspects of their addiction,” Jantz said. “We are focused on treating nicotine addiction by eliminating the use of nicotine in treatment, primarily because nicotine is the most addictive drug.”
NicoBloc is now available for purchase without a prescription via the online store at www.nicoblocusa.com. NicoBloc is planning a major retail launch next year.
